Aegviidu-Kõrvemaa recreation area and visitor center-information point EV100 - nutimäng
Folklore speaks of this beautiful "Estonian Switzerland" that the ancient pagan had pushed the ground of Kõrvemaa to the ground. The landscape is characterized by "mountains", swamps, bog lakes and forests. The mountains are steep oases created by the melting of continental ice. The largest bogs are Koitjärve, Kõnnu Suursoo and Võhma and Kakerdaja. There are almost a hundred lakes and larger bog fields. Hike, bike, ski or walk. Camping areas and campfire sites invite nature photographers, bird and animal watchers as well as mushroom and berry pickers. The visitor center provides information on recreational opportunities and hiking trails, as well as exhibitions, nature films and educational programs.
