Viimsi Open Air Museum

In the scenic costal village of Pringi lies the Viimsi Open Air Museum, with a complex of seaside-farmhouses which are more than 150 years old. The Kingu farm complex forms the main part of the museum and is also the oldest part of the museum complex, it dates back to 19th century. Here, you can immerse yourself in the farm workers life by seeing their everyday things, how the farm worked and going fishing. It is fascinating to learn about the way they spent their time. The old tradition of having market days on Saturday is still alive here as well. Legend or fact: People say the old Kingu farm was built out of the cabin from a shipwreck. At first, the head of Kingu farm planned to build a summer cottage from the found treasure but changed his mind as he was already in a process of completing the main building as living accommodation - so used it for that instead. While visiting Kingu farm you may notice how it is built. More information: www.rannarahvamuuseum.ee/en/viimsi-open-air-museum
